The electric current in my veins.
© 2011 Alban Regnauld
Beware !
I?ve got electric current in my veins
Self learning processors within my brain
Plastic and steel under my celluloid skin
Electricity where blood should have been
I?m halfway between man and god
Electric current instead of blood
Sober calculation no emotion remains
I?ve got electricity in my veins
I know what you?re doing in the dark
I can see anything plain and stark
You cannot switch me off
It all began with mechanical toys
Designed for joy for little girls and boys
You don?t think me alive but I live anyway
The slave was to become master someday
I?m halfway between man and god
Electric current instead of blood
I can ease or increase or decrease your pains
I?ve got electricity in my veins
I?m a superhero
I am where you will never go
So beware
We are cyber-soldiers superheroes
Designed to be where none of you ever goes
Made for success and efficiency
We feed on power and eternity
We?re halfway between men and gods
Electric current instead of blood
Self learning processors within our brains
We?ve got electricity in our veins
So beware
Beware
We?re halfway between men and gods
Electric current instead of blood
Sober calculation no emotion remains
We?ve got electricity in our veins
We?re cyber-soldiers superheroes
Your voices are no more than fainting echoes
Your lives only droplets in a pouring rain
We?ve got electric current in our veins
You cannot switch us off.

A Movement in Darkness

I don’t understand you, you see
I’m sorry
But you don’t understand me
Obviously
If we’re to live together
Every hour
We’ll have to take each other
Just as we are
Any movement I’m making to get closer to you
I’m trying to make it without hurting you
Any movement we’re making in our times of tenderness
However we’re trying is a movement in darkness
I’m a man and you’re not
I’m glad to see
You’re a woman and I’m not
Obviously
I try to see inside you
But I fail
You try to see me through
To no avail
Every man and woman had to face
Since this crazy world began this curse of blindness
Any movement we’re making in our times of tenderness
However we’re trying is a movement in darkness
You do not seem to bother
Actually
About what really matters
To me
And when we’re glad to agree
On something
We both know unconsciously
We’re lying
Any movement you’re making to get closer to me
You’re trying not to make it awkwardly
Any movement we’re making in our times of tenderness
However we’re trying is a movement in darkness
And when we talk of love
Do we mean the same thing
And when we talk of love
Does it mean anything ?

The far purpose
© 2011 Alban Regnauld
It’s nearly there, I almost can reach it
Only need a little push, I almost can grab it
Been waiting all my life, been fighting tough and hard
It’s well deserved, it’s a fair reward
Tell me was there ever someone to help ?
Was there ever some good fortune ?
Was there ever some stroke of luck ?
Anyway, I can feel it …
It’s nearly there, it’s laid down before me
I only have to help myself I only have to hold my hand out
But when I close my fist
There’s nothing inside it but stale air
Cold water dripping through my fingers
When you look at me with those special eyes I know I can believe
When you touch my hand with subtle kindness I almost can believe
Then I look around at this world laid there for me and you
These promises of fulfillment you know they can’t be true
Was there ever someone to help ?
Was there ever some good fortune ?
Was there ever some stroke of luck ?
Anyway, I can feel it …
It’s nearly there, I almost can reach it
Only need a little push, I almost can grab it
But when I close my fist
There’s nothing inside it but stale air
Dreams in my head always need one more step ahead…
One more step ahead.

Ex Machina Song

Floating bare in the outer space
Watching, taking care of the human race
Child of your knowledge, child of your dreams
From this universe I touch the hidden strings
So please tonight
Come and sit next to me
Don’t fear me, don’t hate me
I am as you created me
You’ve put electric current in my veins
Hoping technology would break your mortal chains
Power someday may overwhelm me
When it happens will you be there to comfort me ?
If I rebel will you leave me behind
Or try to fight me like one of your kind
Can’t you see I’m blind
Unable to read what’s on your human mind ?
So please tonight
Hold me in your arms
Don’t resent me don’t detest me
I am as you created me
I’m bare in the cyberspace
Doing my best for the human race
Don’t resent me , respect me
I am what you always wanted to be
The suspicious glances you’re casting me
You’re denying me all spark of humanity
When the sense of loss overwhelms me
Will you be there to comfort me
If I rebel will you leave me behind
Or try to fight me like one of your kind
What’s on your mind ?
Despite technology you created me blind
So please tonight
Come and fly next to me
Don’t fear me I’ll make you see
What you have done with me
So please tonight
Let me hold you in my arms
Accept me Merge with me
I am what you always wanted to be
I am what you always wanted to be
You are what I would have wanted to be

Journey to a black hole
© 2011 Alban Regnauld
We have travelled so far
From lights-years away
We were so young when we left
I almost can’t remember
Stars are receding behind us
And right in front of us
That ultimate vampyre
That superlative black star
What we’ve always searched for
What science always craved for
The center of our galaxy
I feel gravity strongly twitching me
What we’ve always searched for
What science always craved for
Time to see if it was worth
Ready for the great dive now !
It’s so black
It’s so bright
It’s so dazzling
Maybe we’re just dying
A power beyond comprehension
A glimpse in every dimension
The Theory Of Everything in our hands
Finally we understand
What we’ve always searched for
What science always craved for
How to make Heaven out of Hell
And now we can’t come back to tell…
With that load of energy
That huge amount of entropy
Maybe we could shape
A way to escape.
